Donald Trump is once again looking to get rid of leaders who speak truth to power.

This time, it's Dr. Anthony Fauci. Time and time again, Dr. Fauci has delivered science-based facts and information about COVID-19 directly to the American people - and he hasn't been afraid to contradict those spreading misinformation about coronavirus.

Now, Trump is retweeting materials suggesting Fauci be fired after Fauci said Trump could have done more to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The truth is, Trump spent the critical early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic downplaying its severity. He knowingly spread misinformation, undermined scientists and public health experts, blocked states and federal agencies from taking swift action, and refused to accept any responsibility for his mismanagement.

So, I'm with Dr. Fauci on this one. Add your name to support Dr. Fauci and demand Trump keep this medical professional in his position.

Faced with rampant misinformation and an administration insistent on ignoring science, Dr. Fauci has stepped up as a true leader. I know it can't have been easy to be an outspoken advocate while the President himself was actively downplaying the impacts of coronavirus.

That's why I want to stand with Dr. Fauci and thank him for his leadership in these uncertain times. Will you join me?
