Committee Meetings and Updates

HEALTHCARE COMMITTEE

Last month, the single-payer CalCare bill was blocked in the state legislature by Democratic leadership and is effectively dead this year. Several Sacramento DSA members previously spoke in support of the bill at the Assembly Health Committee hearing. The healthcare committee will be meeting to plan our next steps, including a single-payer panel discussion later this summer.

Monday, June 3rd at 6pm (Today!)
Location: Raley's (upstairs), 4698 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento

TRANS RIGHTS & BODILY AUTONOMY

Join the next Trans Rights and Bodily Autonomy Committee meeting. Trans rights and abortion access are the front lines of the fight against the far right and for working class liberation. Control of our bodies is a fundamental human right — one that everyone deserves equally.

Monday, June 3rd at 6:30pm (Today!)
Location: On Zoom
