As we enter this Pride Month, we wanted to take a closer look at Ted’s actual record on LGBTQ+ rights.
John,
Ted Cruz has been trying to make himself appear as some sort of LGBTQ+ ally lately because of his opposition to certain countries’ laws imposing the death penalty on LGBTQ+ people.

– Texas Monthly
But that’s nowhere near the full story. So as we enter this Pride Month, we wanted to take a closer look at Ted’s actual record on LGBTQ+ rights.
If you’re already familiar with Ted’s abysmal record on the subject and you’re ready to kick him out of office for good this November, pitch in $5 to help us do it! Otherwise, keep reading.
Here are just some of the ways Ted’s made it his mission to make life harder for LGBTQ+ people:
- He said SCOTUS was “clearly wrong” to affirm the right to same-sex marriage and voted against the bill to codify marriage rights
- He lashed out at a judge who recognized a trans inmate as a woman, calling her a “radical” who has “no business being a judge”
- He introduced legislation mandating misgendering of trans federal employees and requiring the use of legal names only — okay, Rafael 🙄
There are so many more ways Ted has actively worked against LGBTQ+ rights, but we’ll spare you the full list.
It’s clear that Ted is no ally, which is one more reason we’re working so hard to replace him this November. But as a grassroots organization, we need your help to do it!
This Pride Month, will you pitch in $5 to help us Cut Cruz and replace him with a Senator who will fight for ALL Texans, including LGBTQ+ people?
