Free Credit Monitoring Available in Response to Cyber-Attack

"?"

AUGUSTA ??The?Bureau of Insurance reminds Maine residents to exercise caution and take action to protect personal information. This is especially important as a result of the recent cyber-attack on Change Healthcare, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, which impacted millions of people.

In response to the cyber-attack, UnitedHealth Group is providing two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection to anyone who wishes to access this service. Individuals can obtain more information by accessing UnitedHealth Group?s dedicated website [ [link removed] ] ?or by contacting the dedicated call center at 1-866-262-5342. Individuals do not need to be a member of UnitedHealth Group, either now or in the past, to take advantage of the free credit monitoring and identity theft protection.

Consumers who choose to sign up for free credit monitoring will be directed to a third party that administers the credit monitoring on behalf of UnitedHealth Group and will not have to provide any personal information to UnitedHealth Group.
