Hi John,



I'm James Czerniawski, Americans for Prosperity's senior policy analyst for
tech and innovation. So of course, that recently makes me an AI guy.



But I can't just wonder in awe at the future possibilities of this tech. I
have to closely monitor theBiden Administration's approach to AI policy given
their consistent effort to increase government regulation, stifle innovation,
and circumvent the role of Congress!



Frankly, it's concerning. The recent executive order, coupled with the
invocation of the Defense Production Act, poses a serious threat to innovation
in the AI space and individual freedoms everywhere.

We're seeing a trend towards overregulation and abuse of Biden’s executive
powers that could stifle the technological advancements that drive opportunity
and prosperity for all. From anti-bias proposals to bureaucratic
micro-management, the risks are clear.



We can't afford to sit by while bureaucrats dictate the future of AI. As
President Reagan once said, “the nine most terrifying words in the English
language are: I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help.”



That's why our organization is taking action. We've launched a lawsuit to
demand transparency into the administration's use of the Defense Production Act
and its implications for AI innovation.
