It's happened again, friend: Powerful and corrupt men have taken over the headlines.

I'm far from shocked. Ever since I took my oath as attorney general and swore to do everything in my power to finally bring the most corrupt actors to justice, they have not stopped trying to take me down. 

But here’s the thing: It doesn’t matter which office they once held or how much money they have behind them, I will never be silenced. I will put my head down and go to work for the great people of New York, without fear, without favor, every day.

In the five years I’ve been in office, I’ve stayed true to my mission of holding the shady forces who have ruled our nation for generations accountable. I knew that standing up to these people and groups was going to earn me enemies. I knew that after decades of elected officials turning a blind eye, my mission would put a target on my back. But I also knew that New York’s working families deserved a champion – and I would do it all a thousand times over. 

But I’m nowhere near done fighting for the voiceless and vulnerable, especially now that these powerful and corrupt actors have shown their true colors. These men think they can rattle me and scare me off my path, but the truth is, they have only reaffirmed why I went into this work in the first place.
