The air in Manhattan, outside Trump Tower, reeked of defiance on Thursday night. By Friday morning, that mood had shifted. I probably don’t need to explain to those of you who watched the presser today that there was a lot of despondence in the room.
And yes, they raised a lot of money. Though you and I both know most of that just ends up in the pockets of vendors and consultants.
Today, for the first time, I detected a sense of trepidation. About fear of the unknown. Which also lets you know how much this was broadly unexpected.
Yep, you and I may have seen it coming. But with just a few dozen non-media outside Trump Tower this morning, and the usual silence and complicity from the still-RINO-run RNC, I think we’re in for a rougher time than many currently believe.
