In Brazil, torrential rains caused catastrophic flooding, leaving hundreds of towns in the state of Rio Grande do Sul underwater. In Texas, over 600 people were rescued as deadly floodwaters devastated communities across the state. 

This is the reality of the climate crisis. As global temperatures rise, extreme weather becomes more frequent, more intense, and even more deadly.
