Yet, this unprecedented event reveals more about the state of our justice system than it does about Trump’s character or political future. This verdict is a glaring example of how the justice system has been weaponized to undermine a political opponent, particularly one who remains a formidable challenger to the incumbent administration. And Trump Nation has a few surprises for our smug and elitist fellow Americans in the justice system. Polls show that Trump’s conviction will not significantly impact his support base. In fact, it may be making it stronger. According to a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, nearly three-fourths of registered independents stated that a guilty verdict would not affect their vote. Among Republicans, 25% said they would be more inclined to support Trump post-conviction. These numbers indicate that despite the legal setbacks, Trump’s core support remains robust and undeterred. This resilience among Trump’s supporters is not surprising. For years, Trump has been the target of numerous investigations, lawsuits, and media scrutiny. Each instance, rather than diminishing his appeal, has often galvanized his base, who view these attacks as clearly and totally politically motivated. The latest conviction is perceived by many as another chapter in this ongoing saga of partisan persecution. The justice system’s apparent bias is alarming. The selective prosecution of Trump, especially when juxtaposed with the relative leniency shown towards other political figures, underscores a troubling double standard. This weaponization of justice sets a dangerous precedent, where legal actions are blatantly used to influence political outcomes rather than uphold impartial justice. In a democratic society, the legal system must be fair and unbiased. The conviction of Donald Trump only strengthens the perception that justice is being manipulated for political ends. As the 2024 election approaches, it is crucial for voters to recognize and question these manipulations, ensuring that their choices are guided by facts and principles, not by the machinations of a compromised justice system. With the Federal Government now clearly weaponized, it is obvious the justice system provided the ammunition. “We The People” will not accept our government being weaponized and used against us for political advantage. And as such, which past or current President of the United States is next? This decision comes in the wake of the Ohio state Legislature's lack of willingness to resolve a critical issue: fixing the mass incompetence by every employee at the DNC, who apparently doesn't own a calendar, to ensure Biden's name appears on the November ballot. DNC Chair Jaime Harrison’s announcement underscores the urgency and gravity of the situation as the DNC ship is listing heavily port-side with bow up while Captain Biden is rearranging the deck furniture. This massive DNC lack of attention to detail has significant national implications. The inability to secure ballot access for a sitting president highlights the dysfunction and rolling disaster that is the DNC. Ohio Senate Republicans, in an attempt to fix a problem they didn’t create, proposed a bill to extend the certification deadline, but attached a controversial provision banning foreign contributions to ballot initiatives. This was a simple and common sense provision the Democrats would not accept. Apparently, foreign money in Democrat elections is such a priority that it’s a political hill to die upon. Read that last sentence again. The state House's efforts to create a permanent fix also fell through, leaving Ohio voters in a precarious position, thanks to the DNC. The DNC’s decision to hold a virtual roll call is a pathetic fix to their self-inflicted wound. Harrison’s statement makes it clear that this move is about the blue donkey’s search to find its missing tail. "Oh tail! Oh tail! Where could you be? Why can't you stay attached to poor ole me!"     Voter Registration, Candidate Filing Deadline Monday, June 3rd, 2024 As the election season heats up, Kansas is approaching a critical deadline for candidates wishing to run for office in the upcoming elections. The final day for candidates to file their paperwork is next Monday June 3, 2024, a date that has many prospective and current officeholders rushing to meet the requirements. This filing deadline is crucial for candidates at all levels, from county commissions and county-wide positions to state legislative seats and federal offices. The process ensures that candidates are officially registered to appear on the ballot for the primary elections set to take place on August 6, 2024. The state has seen a surge in political interest, with many new candidates emerging across Kansas. This increased interest highlights the dynamic political landscape in Kansas, where issues such as property taxes, property rights, tax policy, education, healthcare, and economic development are at the forefront of voter concerns. The candidate filing deadline for voters marks the beginning of a busy election season. Once the list of candidates is finalized, voters can expect a flurry of campaign activities. Candidate forums, town halls, door-knocking activities, and lots of campaign mail, texts, and yard signs will become commonplace as candidates vie for their support. Your First Amendment Rights trump local government and your HOA. Signs in Public Right of Way KSA 25-2711 Placement of political signs during election period. No city or county shall regulate or prohibit the placement of or the number of political signs on private property or the unpaved right-of-way for city streets or county roads on private property during the 45-day period prior to any election and the two-day period following any such election. Cities and counties may regulate the size and a set-back distance for the placement of signs so as not to impede sight lines or sight distance for safety reasons. Signs on Private Property HOA Rules Trumped KSA 58-3820 Restrictive covenants; political yard signs; limitations. (a) On and after the effective date (July 1, 2008) of this act, any provision of a restrictive covenant which prohibits the display of political yard signs, which are less than six square feet, during a period commencing 45 days before an election and ending two days after the election is hereby declared to be against public policy and such provision shall be void and unenforceable. Leading up to and following the first impeachment vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to vote on a bill sent by the U.S. Senate for military aid to Ukraine, citing the absence of provisions for U.S. border security. The political maneuvering forced a bright light on the importance of the U.S./Mexico border and drew criticism from Democratic representative Davids, who accused politicians of playing games. With Republicans eyeing the upcoming elections, the focus on border issues will intensify. A decrease in illegal crossings this January has been noted due to Texas Governor Abbott blocking the border in that state with the help of many other states from across the Union. Assistance of Kansas National Guard on this important matter did not come from Kansas as ultra-liberal and divisive Kansas Governor Laura Kelly ignored the majority of Kansans and sat silent taking no action whatsoever. The impeachment, based on allegations of incompetence, passed narrowly. Senate support for conviction remains uncertain but Kansans encourage their U.S. Senators to support the impeachment of Mayorkas. Border security consistently ranks high on the overall concerns of Kansans and Americans. U.S. Border Security must be a priority shown by our elected officials to maintain the support of Kansas Republicans. In Kansas' 3rd Congressional District, immigration and border security are of critical importance and related issues resonate across political divides. As the campaign unfolds, the border debate will intersect with broader political narratives, shaping the electoral landscape in Kansas CD-3 and beyond.
