Demand The New School Board of Trustees Reject Divestment from Israel

Pro-Hamas actors are trying to pressure The New School Board of Trustees to divest from Israel in accordance with the antisemitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. Especially while antisemitic incidents across the country are at an all-time high, the regents should not be aligning with dangerous antisemitic rhetoric and actions.

Proponents of the antisemitic BDS movement employ language and tactics that demonize Israel and its supporters, creating a toxic environment that fosters hate and discrimination. Jewish students and organizations are frequently targeted and subjected to harassment and intimidation simply for their connection to Israel.

Divestment from Israel is not about promoting human rights or social justice. It is a thinly veiled attempt to delegitimize the Jewish state and its right to exist. By endorsing divestment, we would be legitimizing antisemitic attitudes and emboldening those who seek to harm Jewish members of our community.

Join us in sending a clear and unequivocal message to The New School Board of Trustees: Reject divestment from Israel and stand against hate. The university should be a place where all students, regardless of their background or beliefs, feel safe and respected. The Board must ensure that the campus remains a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
