Hello Friends!
It has been a busy few weeks, and I wanted to give you an update on our campaign for Pennsylvania State House in District 28! Scroll to the bottom for info about our upcoming events and volunteer needs!
Progressives are Desperate to Maintain Control
Our Pennsylvania State Government has the only divided state legislature in the country. Republicans narrowly control the State Senate and Democrats control the State House by the slimmest of margins, 102-101. Yes, there is just a 1 vote margin out of 203 members. However, that 1 vote margin makes all the difference. With that single vote, progressives are able to set the House calendar, decide which bills come up for a vote, and even stack committee memberships in their favor. This one vote margin also allows the majority to set the rules. Earlier in May, we saw just one egregious example of how the Democrats twisted the rules in their favor. One Democrat member of the House from Philadelphia had an arrest warrant out against him. He was literally a fugitive from the law for a week. Unbelievably, during the time he was being pursued by law enforcement, he was casting votes in the PA House via proxy – another member voting for him! You cannot make this craziness up! This highlights the
importance of winning PA 28 and others to regain control of the House.
With the Progressives desperate to maintain control, we are seeing huge amounts of national left-wing money flowing into Pennsylvania since we are one of only a handful of swing states from the presidential level all the way down to the State House. Democrats have identified 15 State House seats they are targeting to hold or flip. PA 28 – our district – is one of them. This is why I need your help even more. There is something for everyone to do, from helping put up door hangers, addressing postcards, making yard signs, and donating so we can get our message out.
Honoring our Fallen – Memorial Day Events
Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have this great country and freedom that we enjoy today. My family and I were honored to be able to take part in several events throughout Northern Allegheny County, starting off the day in the Township of Pine for a flag raising service in Old Wexford and the kick-off of the Military Banners program. Next, American Legion Post 593 held an excellent parade and moving ceremony in Richland Park. From the C- 17 Globemaster flyover to the ringing of the restored Navy Ship’s Bell, it helped all to put in perspective the sacrifices that have been made. It was good to be able to talk with the Post 593 members and public. Finally, American Legion Post 598 in West Deer had numerous events throughout the day, culminating in a mid-day ceremony and luncheon. I appreciate all the preparation and work done to remember our fallen servicemen and women. It was an honor for me to be able to speak at the luncheon
and express my gratitude.
Critical Fundraising Events
While we have a tremendous volunteer army, we also need monetary resources to be able to fully get our message out to swing voters across District 28. Out-of-state Progressives are targeting District 28 along with 14 other districts in Pennsylvania. Collectively, these 7% of districts -- 15 out of 203 – will determine the direction of Pennsylvania. With our strong message and volunteer base, we don’t need to match their deluge of spending dollar for dollar, but we do need to keep it close. A donation of any size, would greatly help our efforts and be appreciated!

Join us at two upcoming fundraising events! Please come to our community “Friendraising Picnic” on June 30th at 3PM in Pine Park. We would love for you to sponsor and/or attend! There will be good food and fellowship, along with opportunities to volunteer. You can pick up yard signs, door hangers, postcards, etc. to help prepare for the fall.
We are also holding an event at the Duquesne Club on June 25th , and we are looking for sponsors. If you are able to attend or sponsor one or both events, it would be greatly appreciated!
How to Help
One of the most common questions we get asked is “How can we help?” There are so many things that can be done with volunteers! There is literally something for everyone. Here is a list of just some of the activities we need help with:
- Put door hangers on doors in your neighborhood
- Address postcards/envelopes
- Help man a booth at an event
- Make phone calls to target/swing voters
- Put together yard signs
- Host a Meet and Greet at your house
- Invite Jeremy to speak at a club or group
If you can help, just reply to this email and let us know what you are interested/able to do and we will get you connected!
Thank you again for your continued support.
Respectfully,
