Blue Dogs like me, Jared Golden, and Mary Peltola are running in some of the most competitive House districts in the country. Roll Call has named my race as one of the 10 toss-up districts that will decide the outcome of this election.
I’m running against an extremist opponent named Joe Kent, who called the insurrectionists “political prisoners” and suggested that “government-controlled agents” were behind January 6th. And if that’s not enough, he’s been tied directly to Nazi sympathizers.
To protect our democracy from these extremists, we must win our competitive Blue Dog races and support the critical red-to-blue candidates we’ve endorsed this cycle. Our goal is to raise $5,000 by midnight to reach our end-of-month goal.
Blue Dogs are normal people in Congress who want to get sh*t done. We believe in freedom and we’re fighting to protect yours. We’re pro-America, pro-democracy, and working to pass fiscally responsible policies that benefit everyday, hard-working Americans.
