There’s a reason I don’t take a dime from corporate PACs: My vote is not for sale.

In my time in Congress, I found what’s most challenging is money in politics. The truth is that it costs money to run for office, and it affects the kind of people who can step up and run for office.

In the last three elections, I’ve run against three straight self-funding candidates who have spent a lot of their own money to try and win this seat. Thanks to the strength of our movement, we’ve won against three Republicans who thought they could buy a seat in Congress. We’ve shown again and again that New Jersey isn’t for sale.

What we’ve always had is a powerful grassroots movement fueled by people like you, John. This time is no different.

But Republicans are getting ready to pour millions of dollars into New Jersey, and they’ll throw even more in if Bob Menendez runs as an Independent and makes this a 3-way competitive race.

Now more than ever, New Jersey needs hard working, trustworthy leaders focused on the common good and injecting some integrity and civility back into our politics. That’s why I’m running for Senate, and that’s why we’re confident in our campaign.
