Hollywood funding Democrat candidates for Congress and the White House is a
tale as old as the movie industry itself.

The latest example of this? Robert De Niro bashing President Trump at a press
conference in New York City and in an email sent from the Biden campaign
Wednesday. In his missive De Niro says,"Thank God Joe Biden defeated Trump and
restored decency, compassion, and honest, intelligent leadership to the
presidency."

You and I both know how rare it is for a celebrity in Hollywood to support
conservative candidates for federal office - it’s even more rare for them to
offer their support publicly. But quite frankly, I couldn’t care less about
winning the support of Hollywood actors, directors, or anyone involved with the
entertainment industry.

My opponent, on the other hand, is actively soliciting their financial support.

Actress Glenn Close has sent emails for my opponent on two occasions. In her
fundraising appeals on behalf of Jon Tester’s campaign, she writes,“Jon Tester
is running for reelection in Montana—it’s the most important race on the map.
This election will determine the future of our country, and I can’t sit on the
sidelines with stakes as high as these.”
