Amazing news! Chinh, an Asiatic black bear forced to live alone in a cage for 20 years on a bear bile farm in Vietnam, has been rescued and released!
After his owner was persuaded to surrender him, Chinh was rescued by FOUR PAWS, supported by World Animal Protection and the Vietnam Forest Protection (FPD). Chinh now begins his new life at a FOUR PAWS Sanctuary in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, where he is among other rescued bears.
World Animal Protection has partnered with the Vietnamese government for nearly two decades to end the cruel practice of bear bile farming. Since 2005, bear bile farms in Vietnam have decreased by 95%. Yet many bears still endure agonizing captivity and need urgent aid. Your donation today can help eradicate the bear bile industry and rescue suffering animals globally. Please give now to help other bears like Chinh!
