JOHN,
There is no substitute for talking directly to voters. Getting out and going door to door, and talking face to face with swing and independent voters could make the difference in a tight election.
And if there’s one thing we’ve learned already about this election, it’s that people are ready for change and want to learn more about the candidates seeking to represent them in the Missouri Senate.
Joe is a man who lives his values and practices what he preaches. As a strong supporter of unions and a believer in the dignity of work, Joe has insisted that everyone working for him must always earn what they deserve. Our field staff are essential members of the team, tasked with representing Joe and everything this campaign stands for in front of thousands of constituents and voters.
So, with that in mind, we wanted to share some of the math behind our field program budget and ask for your support so that we can grow this team and build a formidable door-to-door field program that can get Joe elected to the State Senate in November.
Joe believes that each trained canvasser should earn at least $20 per hour to receive a fair living wage. Two teams of canvassers, or 4 trained field staff, each knocking doors for one shift per week would cost around $320 every week.
With just 22 weeks left until the General Election, the total cost of funding two teams of canvassers would be $7,040.
If we can raise $7,040 (or more) now, we can cover the entire cost of two teams of trained, professional field staff out in the community, in the district, knocking doors and getting Joe’s message to swing voters every week from now until Election Day in November.
Can you chip in $20 or more to help us meet this goal and fund a core field team that will speak directly to the key voters who can send Joe to the State Senate—and enshrine reproductive rights in the Missouri Constitution in November?
