But so did Steve Garvey, a GOP candidate with celebrity status and a lot of reactionary views on the issues.

And we cannot discount the threat he poses to our campaign, to California Democrats, and to the fate of the House and Senate majorities.

He’s catching up — quickly — and now he is appearing on Fox News and Newsmax to make fundraising appeals to their MAGA audiences. The very people who would love nothing more than to see me defeated.

With the money he raises, he’s going to spread lies on the airwaves and smear my record of progress for hard-working families in California.

He’ll stand alongside Donald Trump and his MAGA acolytes, confirming conservative judges and further restricting reproductive freedom if we let him. But we won’t let him.
