On January 6, 2021, far-right extremists attacked the seat of our nation’s democracy with the explicit goal to overturn the results of a free and fair election.
They were egged on not only by a sitting president but by an entire political party, its elected leaders, and a right-wing media ecosphere steeped in disinformation.
Now they’re laying the foundation to steal this upcoming election.
Ted Cruz sat down with CNN’s Kaitlin Collins last week, where she asked our part-time senator point blank whether or not he will accept election results that show President Biden winning in November.
Unsurprisingly, Ted didn’t answer what should have been an easy question.
And the reason why is simple, John.
The GOP *knows* it's vastly out of step with the majority of the country.
But rather than work to win votes and elections, figures like Donald Trump and his enablers like Ted Cruz have committed themselves to dismantling our democracy to impose their extremist vision on the rest of us.
John, stopping Donald Trump this year starts with defeating his enablers like Ted Cruz. Can you chip in $5 to support our work to fire Ted this November?
There was once a time not so long ago when questioning the results of a free and fair election would have been unthinkable and in itself disqualifying from ever holding public office.
That time is over. And with continued far-right threats to our elections and democracy, we must double down on our effort to elect leaders who believe in the power of our democracy and will work to protect it, not destroy it.
Ted thinks it's “ridiculous” to ask him if he will accept this year’s election results. We think it's ridiculous and reprehensible that he won't do the *bare minimum* and accept the will of the voters.
John, if we could rank all the reasons to Cut Cruz this November, his contempt for our democracy would be the first.
Please stand with us today, by pitching in $5.
Thank you!
With gratitude,
— Cut Cruz
