For the first time since Roe v. Wade was decided, abortion in Texas has been inaccessible and illegal for three weeks, putting countless women and families in danger.

In Texas, officials have exploited the ongoing health crisis by declaring that abortion is an "elective" procedure.

Abortion care is not elective. It's essential.

And in states where abortion is already difficult to access -- like Alabama and Ohio -- Republican-controlled state legislatures are calling on their governors to put in place even more measures to restrict abortion access.

We need to fight back.
