We’re quickly approaching our end-of-month deadline, but before we ask you to donate, let’s do a quick recap of our movement’s history to show you exactly why your grassroots donations are so important!
FIRST: March For Our Lives was founded in 2018 after a tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida. In response, we organized the largest single day of protest against gun violence in history – standing up, walking out, and marching with millions across the country and the globe to say: ENOUGH.
THEN: Since then, we’ve continued to organize young people to shift the conversation on gun violence. Together, we’ve shown that young people can and will lead the change our world needs.
In just six years, we’ve already seen the NRA begin to lose its chokehold on gun safety legislation.
We’ve also won huge victories like:
After campaigning for a federal Office of Gun Violence Prevention since 2019, the White House established it in 2023!
We’ve booted dozens of NRA-backed candidates from office and helped sustain wave after wave of youth voters to support gun safety leaders.
Since we first marched in 2018, over 300 gun safety laws have been passed across the country!
Just days after we Marched For Our Lives again in 2022, and after 70+ meetings with Senators and members of Congress, we won the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act — the most significant piece of federal gun safety legislation in 30 years.
NOW: We have an opportunity to make critical change this election year. We don’t have time to slow down. We’re putting all our energy into organizing and making sure we elect gun safety champions up and down the ballot to achieve even more life-saving gun safety wins.
