John, I can imagine that some Democratic donors feel overwhelmed by their inboxes at the end of the month – and I don’t blame them.
Campaigns spend the last week of each month fundraising to meet their established goals, and that's why we increase the number of times my team and I reach out.
But I want to be honest with you: a lot of the tactics campaigns are using are dishonest.
More often than not, there is no “12X DONATION MATCH,” and the sky isn’t falling this far out from Election Day.
Here's the truth: We have some big expenses coming up, and my team and I will have to make some strategic decisions about how we're going to spend our budget to get across the finish line. If we don't hit our End of Month Fundraising Goal, we'll have less to work with.
Campaigns can’t run without resources to fuel them, and that’s why I’m asking for your support.
John, we’ve set a goal to raise another $11,755 online before June, and every grassroots donation we get helps chip away at our goal. Will you donate today to help us reach it? [[link removed]]

The son of a public school cafeteria worker and a Vietnam veteran, and the grandson of WWII veterans, Gil understood the importance of public service. After graduating high school, Gil enlisted in the U.S. Navy, driven by a desire to serve his nation and a determination to carve out a brighter future. He earned an ROTC Scholarship and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University. Gil also holds an MBA from Regis University and M.A. in Urban Education Policy from Brown University.
After the election of Donald Trump, Gil could not sit on the sidelines – he ran for California’s 39th Congressional District and won with the support of middle-class families and labor unions.
Now with MAGA extremists running the House of Representatives, Gil is running for California’s 31st Congressional District to stand up for the San Gabriel Valley and continue his mission of service, advocating for veterans, gun safety reform, economic opportunity for working families, climate action, and defending women’s rights.
