Over the weekend, Donald Trump posted on social media that he was officially endorsing Hung Cao in the Republican primary—saying he has his “complete and total endorsement.” Take a look:

Trump’s endorsement comes on the heels of Cao openly targeting the Affordable Care Act, mocking small-town communities in Virginia as “podunk,” and even attending a conservative political conference where Nazis openly mingled earlier this year.

Trump’s decision to endorse Cao is the biggest earthquake this race has seen yet — giving Cao a huge burst of momentum, setting the stage for Virginia Republicans to unify behind him, and inviting national GOP mega-donors to begin funneling money into our Commonwealth to flip VA red.
