Recognizing Memorial Day

As we spend this Memorial Day with family and friends, it's important to stop and recognize the reason for this holiday – honoring our country's service members who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our country and the liberties we hold dear.
We must never take our freedoms for granted, which are upheld time and time again by brave men and women who answered the call to serve our nation.
Those who died in the service of our great country have ensured President Abraham Lincoln's call in his Gettysburg Address "that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
As always, I want to offer my deepest appreciation for the brave heroes who gave their lives for our nation. To their family and friends, please know your loved ones will not be forgotten as we strive to continuously honor and remember their legacy. |
