Demand that Congresswoman Doris Matsui and Senator Alex Padilla call for an immediate, permanent ceasefire and stop providing weapons for Israel's genocide in Gaza. HEALTHCARE COMMITTEE

Earlier this month, the single-payer CalCare bill was blocked by Democratic leadership and is effectively dead this year. Here is a statement from the CA Nurses Association and a recording of their debrief call. Several Sacramento DSA members previously spoke in support of the bill at the Assembly Health Committee hearing. We will be meeting to plan our next steps, including a single-payer panel discussion for later this summer. Join us!
