To tackle the climate crisis, we need bold, urgent policy change. One of
those changes includes the Environmental Protection Agency’s stronger
greenhouse gas emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles.

By limiting emissions from freight trucks, delivery trucks, buses,
shuttles, and vocational vehicles, we can reduce 1 billion tons of
greenhouse gas emissions and generate $10 billion in annual climate
benefits, $300 million in annual non-greenhouse gas public health
benefits, and $3.5 billion in annual operational savings for the trucking
industry.

Less air pollution and more economic benefits are a win-win. So what’s the
problem? The GOP.

25 Republican-controlled states are suing the EPA to stop these stronger
environmental protections. But Rob is leading a multistate coalition to
defend the EPA and ensure these common-sense solutions can go into effect.

Addressing climate change and protecting our air, water, and environment
for generations to come is a key priority for Rob as California’s Attorney
General.
