John, Ted Cruz has
been on the record in support of extreme fetal personhood legislation for
quite a long time.

But now that Roe v. Wade has been struck down and those fetal personhood
arguments are also threatening the legality of in-vitro fertilization, Ted
is scrambling to do damage control:

rights this November.

Ted likes to act like it’s absurd for anyone to believe that IVF is under
threat. But it’s the logical result of his own beliefs about life
beginning at conception.

Just as they did with abortion, anti-IVF advocates might not start with
outright bans. They may simply advocate for banning specific methods of
conducting the procedure until no medically acceptable methods are left
and it’s effectively impossible to perform the procedure at all anymore.

Ted knows this, and his new legislation is just a smokescreen to save face
with voters who are upset over this new consequence of the “pro-life”
agenda.

The good news is Texans have the opportunity to Cut Cruz and elect Colin
Allred in his place this November. Colin will fight to protect
reproductive rights, not take them away — but it’s going to take a massive
effort to defeat Ted on Election Day.
