I'm not the type of person to leave things up to chance.

As a meteorologist, I had a responsibility to give folks the information they needed to prepare for the day and week ahead. Parents, teachers, businesses – even football coaches depended on our accurate information. If severe weather hit, I knew what I said on TV could be the difference between life and death.

As we continue to march on to Election Day, I’m not leaving anything to chance in this race either.

Quite honestly, the race for IL-17 is where our democracy hangs. My opponent has made it clear he’s a stamp on the MAGA agenda. And there’s no doubt he’d join Marjorie Taylor Greene and the rest of the far-right in continuing the destruction of our democratic norms.
