Today, I’m joining millions nationwide as we hold space for those who have sacrificed their lives serving our country, and the loved ones they left behind.
Their dedication and service inspire me every day to keep putting the People first in everything I do.
Today is Memorial Day, Community.
Today, I’m joining millions nationwide as we hold space for those who have sacrificed their lives serving our country, and the loved ones they left behind.
Their dedication and service inspire me every day to keep putting the People first in everything I do.
Our freedom is never truly free, and we must honor the families that have paid the ultimate price for the liberties we enjoy.
San Diego County is home to over 100,000 active service members and 240,000 veterans, including my father.
I was raised on my father’s stories of his time spent serving our country during the Vietnam War.
He taught me firsthand what it truly means to serve others. Even today, decades after he came back home, my dad and his servant heart continue to shape my service to our County.
So today, tomorrow, and beyond, let’s honor our fallen neighbors by honoring those they loved.
In solidarity and reflection,
