## **Birth Rate Drops to New Low, Creating a "National Emergency"**

There's a disturbing trend taking place in much of the world. But it's worse in South Korea.

What is it? Well, the Asian country's birth rate is at an all-time low. Low enough, in fact, that the president has declared a national emergency.

As the Los Angeles Times reported, South Korea's birth rate dropped to a dismal 0.72 in 2023. That means that every woman is expected to have roughly that number of children, on average.

What this means for the nation is that if the birth rate doesn't soon go up, South Korea will have a declining population.

## **Disney Makes Significant Layoffs at Pixar After Admitting Mistake**

If you haven't heard the world of Disney has experienced some disasters of late. Understandably, Disney's Pixar is in the same boat.

In fact, as Variety reported, Pixar cut another round of employees on Tuesday, laying off around 14 percent of their workforce. This is in addition to the 75 workers they cut last year, according to Reuters.

Part of the problem is streaming services like Disney+. Another part is that Pixar's films have consistently begun to include a "not at all secret gay agenda" that many just aren't comfortable with.
