I have game-changing news about environmental justice and sustainable development in Washington.

The federal government has allocated $39.4 million to remove fish barriers and restore salmon habitats in our state – focusing on projects led by or in partnership with tribal nations! This is the largest ever investment in salmon recovery.

This is a major milestone for environmental justice in Washington.

This project will restore important salmon and steelhead migration routes in Clallam, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Skagit, Snohomish, Yakima, and Cowlitz counties while boosting tribal economies and protecting vital ecosystems important to our regional heritage.

Salmon are more than just fish.

Restoring their habitats is a profound step toward healing our land and communities which is why these projects are the essence of environmental justice. They create jobs and uplift marginalized communities. They foster an environment where nature and humanity coexist sustainably.

While my opponents are spending their time playing politics – I am focused on making sure that our communities are being supported through initiatives like this one.

I am running for Public Lands Commissioner because I truly believe that the work we do to support our environment and natural resources must be our #1 priority. If you’re with me, will you show your support by adding your name here to endorse our campaign?
