The latest on what's happening with right-of-center women   Weekly Wrap May 24, 2024   This Week's Highlights   Monday According to Rep. Ashley Hinson's (IA-02) office, "One out of 75 U.S. births tragically result in stillbirth, accounting for nearly 21,000 stillbirths a year — more stillbirths annually than the number of babies who pass during the first year of life." Hinson celebrated the House of Representatives' overwhelmingly bipartisan passage of legislation she authored earlier this year that will help ensure expecting moms can receive quality pre-natal care. Tuesday Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) and her colleague Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) recently introduced the IVF Protection Act to ensure that no state prohibits access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) services. They joined The Megyn Kelly Show to discuss their efforts, and Britt shared a story about what motivated her to act. They also penned a joint op-ed about their legislation in The Wall Street Journal, which you can read here. Wednesday Winning For Women PAC endorsed another incumbent Republican woman running for re-election: Rep. Celeste Maloy. You can learn more about her here. Thursday In a must-watch video, Dr. and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meek (IA-01) criticized Dr. Fauci's Senior Advisor for misogynistic comments he made about female public health leaders during the COVID-19 pandemic.   In The News   NBC News: Supreme Court Rules For GOP In South Carolina Redistricting Case The Bismark Tribune: Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak Outlines Policy Views In US House Race Radio Iowa: Miller-Meeks Critical Of NIH Advisor’s ‘Skirt’ Reference To CDC Director National Review: Republicans Embrace IVF As Dems Ramp Up ‘Reproductive-Rights’ Attacks     Stay up to date on the latest by following us on our socials.
