Crime gets worse; Dallas City Council members do nothing.

DPD needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police officers ASAP.

Safe streets are a civil right.

Dallas Businesses Under Siege by Illegal Prostitution

Harry Hines Boulevard has a major prostitution problem plaguing the

stitution-crime/3544499/ many businesses that line the street. The
situation has gotten so bad the City can no longer ignore it. Dallas
Police Department (DPD) has had
[link removed]
iting-prostitution-in-march/3502678/ multiple successful stings in the
past few months, but this enforcement has only made a marginal
difference- the problem continues to fester.

This failed leadership results in businesses struggling to stay open
following the reputation the area has now achieved.

A few successful stings are not enough to keep these criminals off the
streets. DPD needs to have its chronic understaffing problem fixed by
the City Council so that officers may have the bandwidth to enforce the
law here regularly.

As this prostitution problem worsens, many residents and business owners
are now denied the essential right to safe streets. Dallas cannot turn
its back on its residents any longer! DPD must move from 3,000 to 4,000
officers as soon as possible to end this chronic crime crisis!

Dallas needs YOU! Help Keep Dallas Safe (KDS) advocate for a more robust
police department by contacting your City Council member. Click the
button below to find out who represents you and demand that they fully
support DPD so that they can address problems like prostitution on Harry
Hines Boulevard.

Affordable Housing Dreams Crushed by Incompetence

The laser focus on Housing First has led to many battles like this
throughout the city. Meanwhile, homelessness gets worse as Woke
non-profits and NGOs chase down pipedream housing options instead of
addressing the real problems that many homeless people have.

Two Women Shot Dead in East

Two women were shot dead this weekend on North Washington Avenue. This
MUST become unthinkable. Living in Dallas should not be a death sentence
for women. Dallas has become a warzone, and the City Council is doing
nothing to stop it!

Proposed Budget for Dallas Has Major Oversight

Dallas needs every opportunity possible to thrive, and this budget
proposal spends $38 million the City does not have. This current path is
taking away opportunities and dooming future generations. The City
Council must do everything possible to keep our city out of debt. This
includes cutting waste!

Tracking Illegal Camps:

[link removed] Executive Director Joseph Porter broadcasts
on Facebook Live each week, documenting vagrant camps in the city and
bringing you real-time updates on the state of homelessness and the
apathetic response from Dallas city officials. This week, Joseph went
live outside Dallas City Hall at the City Council meeting and debunk the
lies shared at a press conference regarding veteran homelessness in
Dallas.

 District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno

"Urban Blight Camp"

This camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has been dubbed “Urban Blight
Camp.” Showcasing just how bad the vagrancy issue has gotten, these
people are sleeping on the concrete sidewalk just a single block away
from City Hall. Is this safe? Does this protect the welfare of our City?
We don’t think so.

 District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno

"Ervay Tent City Camp"

This camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has earned the title “Ervay Tent
City Camp.” The sheer volume of the tents at this camp cannot be
captured in one photo. Ervay Street has become blighted by these groups
of tents, making the entire area dangerous. This grim picture does not
portray a prosperous Dallas!

 District 11 Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz

"Schultz’s Bane Camp"

We named this camp in Jaynie Schultz’s District 11 “Schultz’s Bane
Camp.” District 11 has only worsened in recent months, and this camp off
I-635 is the perfect illustration. Many of Schultz’s constituents have
complained about this camp, yet the councilwoman has done little to
mitigate the issue. You can bet she remains passionate about spending
your money to subsidize the WNBA, though!

Statement:

Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with
the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for
residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes
crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We
do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding
accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime
rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for
enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
