Friend,
You know by now that while the Supreme Court is supposed to be unbiased, the Justices have been involved in partisan politics and ethics scandals for years now. Just last week, it was revealed that after the January 6th insurrection, Justice Alito flew an upside down flag outside his house- a symbol of the lie that Trump won the 2020 election.
The Supreme Court is meant to be nonpartisan and completely unbiased, but this recent revelation clearly shows that Justice Samuel Alito sides with the January 6th insurrectionists and will most likely not uphold our precious Democracy. The Court is hearing cases about Trump’s role in the insurrection and the rioters themselves and this is just one more example of how we can no longer assume the Justices will be unswayed by politics.
How are we supposed to trust that the Court will be just and fair in their decision when they’ve shown time and time again that they are willing to change their decisions to fit whoever is doing them favors or whoever they like more? We need Supreme Court ethics reform so this type of behavior stops happening and we can restore trust to the Court. Please, pitch in $10 and join us in fighting for an ethical Supreme Court.

The rampant corruption on the Supreme Court has led to rulings wildly out of step with public opinion and caused distrust among the American people. We need to pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency (SCERT) Act as soon as possible. This way we can prevent further corruption in our Supreme Court by improving the financial disclosure process, strengthening recusal standards, and creating an enforceable code of conduct for the Court, something that, clearly, it is in desperate need of.
Without the help of every single person reading this, we won’t have the power to get Congress to pass the SCERT Act. The SCERT Act is crucial so we can prevent additional corruption and judicial interference by the ultra-wealthy and powerful. If you want the biases of Justices like Alito to stop influencing Court rulings, can you chip in $10 so we can keep working together to dismantle the ultra-wealthy’s influence on the Supreme Court?
