Folks,
Chiseled into stone above the Supreme Court reads this phrase: “EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW.”
That is the promise of the highest court in America. But in order to deliver on that promise, Supreme Court Justices must remain unbiased, non-partisan, and outside the messy world of politics.
Yet, Justice Alito is flying an upside-down American flag, the symbol of Trump’s election-deniers, above his home.
Justice Thomas’s wife is an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump and even publicly supported the deadly insurrection on the Capitol on January 6.
How can these Justices rule on cases involving the Capitol Rioters in an unbiased manner? The answer:
They simply cannot. And yet, both refuse to recuse themselves. We cannot allow them to set a dangerous precedent: We need 5,000 signatures before midnight tonight to tell Congress that Justices Alito and Thomas must recuse themselves from January 6 cases immediately!
Tell Congress that anyone who tried to destroy our democracy and overthrow our government must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
If the Supreme Court is compromised, then our democracy is compromised. Thank you for making your voice heard.
