It takes a village to raise a child - Welcome to Our Village.

May was a BIG month for St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums and Eureka Mums!

Hopefully by now, you are aware that we have joined forces as Our Village. 

Together, as Our Village, we will increase our impact for vulnerable babies, children and the environment.

Bringing our three entities together, enables us to put more resources on the front line to achieve our goals of reaching every Victorian baby and child up to the age of six that needs us, whilst also significantly reducing the waste that ends up in landfill. 

It has been a huge team effort to get us to this point, and I'm so proud of the dedication and commitment to this change shown by the staff and volunteer teams - THANK YOU ALL.

Now we move forward, together. 

And don't worry - everything else remains the same.  We've changed our name and how we look, but our vision, purpose and goals remain the same.  We're still providing pre-loved essentials for babies and children right across Victoria and we are still so grateful for all of the support we get from you!

Happy National Volunteer Week!

This week is Australia's largest annual celebration of volunteering and we couldn't be prouder of the amazing volunteers that make our work possible. 

From our earliest days of a few dedicated volunteers collecting donations on a front porch, we now have an incredible community of thousands of volunteers over two expansive warehouses.

This week is a special opportunity for us to celebrate and thank our volunteers who are the heart of Our Village and who dedicate their time to making a difference to the lives of babies and children across Victoria.

It’s also a chance for us to welcome new volunteers into Our Village. This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is ‘Something for Everyone’ highlighting that there’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering.

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to join Our Village. Whether you can spare a few hours or you’re ready to make a bigger commitment, by volunteering with us you are joining a joyous community where people feel like they belong and can have a real impact. Also, we don’t want to brag, but our morning teas are legendary!

You can volunteer at one of our warehouses, from your own home or with a team from your workplace. However you choose to help out, we can guarantee Our Village is a special place to be. 💚

Mother's Day Lunches - Melbourne and Geelong

Our two Mother's Day lunches this year were an amazing success - and judging by the activity on the dance floor - great fun was had by all. Our first events as Our Village was a fantastic way to celebrate our amazing community and raise vital funds to continue our operations. 

We asked our lunch attendees to show their support by pledging a clothing bundle (or 2!) worth $59 to children desperate for our help. We are delighted to report back that those incredible pledges provided 1,167 bundles of lovingly packed, pre-loved clothing - and they are now flying out of the warehouses and into homes all over Victoria. 

We know it takes a village, so thank you to those who purchased an event ticket, pledged a bundle, bought a raffle ticket, volunteered on the day or helped spread the word to friends and families. We truly appreciate your support. 💚
