We did it, friend: I’m officially the Democratic nominee in Oregon’s Fifth Congressional District! It’s all thanks to the overwhelming support of this grassroots team. I am so grateful to my community and grassroots supporters like you for believing in me and my campaign – I will not let you down. I want to personally thank every member of this team – including you, friend – for being part of our grassroots movement. The road to this moment wasn’t easy, and there won't be anything simple about defeating Lori Chavez-DeRemer in November. But I am determined to meet this moment, to win, and to fight for my community in Congress. I learned from my parents that you don’t stop working hard until the hard job is done, especially when it comes to fighting for your community. I'm ready to get to work and win this thing because the stakes of this election are too high not to. Reproductive freedom, voting rights, affordable health care, our democracy itself – it’s all on the line this November. Simply put: Oregonians can’t afford another two years of Lori Chavez-DeRemer and the extreme Republican majority.
