Hi John,
Utterly ignoring both science and the will of the people, last Friday former President Trump visited St. Paul, Minnesota, and blatantly spoke about rescinding protections the Biden administration issued last year in the headwaters of the Boundary Waters and Voyageurs National Park.
Trump does not speak on behalf of Minnesotans - more than 70% of Minnesotans support protecting the Boundary Waters from sulfide-ore copper mining proposed on federal lands in the headwaters of Minnesota’s canoe country Wilderness.

In his four years as president, Trump took actions that would have permanently damaged the Boundary Waters by reversing years of progress toward protecting the Boundary Waters from toxic copper mining. He prioritized corporate interests and pandered to a Chilean mining conglomerate, short-circuited environmental law, and granted corporate lobbyists, not the people, authority to decide the fate of America’s most popular Wilderness.
But since Trump left office, President Biden has prioritized the protection of the Boundary Waters from toxic sulfide-ore copper mining.
Following Trump’s visit on Friday to Minnesota, it’s more apparent than ever that the Boundary Waters is on the ballot. The question of what the 2024 election has in store for the Boundary Waters looms.
Here’s where we need your help. We need your voice for the Boundary Waters this election season. Right now, can you pitch in with a gift of $20.00 [[link removed]] so we can ramp up our work in DC and in Minnesota to make sure the Boundary Waters wins in November?

The fate of America's most visited Wilderness area is in our hands. The decisions we make in this election will determine whether we protect or endanger the Boundary Waters.
