John, when it comes to why I'm running, the answer's pretty simple: I want to be the voice in Congress MI-10 deserves.

And as we head into the summer, my team and I are going to have plenty of opportunities to meet folks and share my pro-choice, pro-safety, community-first vision for the future. But we need to put ourselves in the best spot to take advantage of those opportunities. Here's what I mean:

1️⃣ We can't show up to doors empty-handed – we need yard signs to let folks show their support for my campaign, and literature to make sure they remember my message even after we're gone!

2️⃣ We need to make sure we've got the numbers – without an appropriate amount of volunteers and staff, we can't effectively get the word out about my efforts to unseat far-right extremist John James!

3️⃣ We need to make sure we don't get lost in the noise – 2024 is a big election year for folks across the state, which means we've got to reach out to folks more than once to make sure my name and message really sticks!

John, I know that getting all we need won't be easy, or cheap. But I'm confident that with your support, we can unseat John James and flip this MI's 10th District from red to blue.

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
