Friend — I just got some HUGE news, and I had to make sure you were the first to hear:

Planned Parenthood Action Fund has officially endorsed my campaign for Senate here in Florida!
I couldn't be prouder of all we've accomplished to gain their support, because right now, the stakes for the future of reproductive rights — both in Florida, and nationwide — have never been higher.
Even before Roe v. Wade was undone, GOP extremists here were laser-focused on rolling back key protections that millions of women in Florida (and across the southeast) were once afforded in our state constitution — all starting under the governorship of my opponent, Sen. Rick Scott.
As soon as the Dobbs ruling was settled, we were stuck playing defense. With anti-choice Republicans holding our legislature, state Supreme Court, and the Governor's Mansion hostage, a 15-week trigger ban had already been signed.
Dobbs just gave them the greenlight to do their worst, and the security to think they could get away with it and more.
Soon after, those same emboldened authoritarians passed a six-week ban — one of the strictest in the nation — which took effect earlier this month. But little did they know: The tides in Florida were turning.
And across the Sunshine State, pro-choice advocates like you and I came together to let them know that enough is enough.
And much to Rick Scott's dismay, we wouldn't be so easily stopped. As soon as that first 15-week ban passed, we took to the streets, gathering nearly a million signatures to put the right to choose on the ballot. When far-right leaders tried to block our ballot measure movement, we took the fight to the Florida Supreme Court.
And even when the court let both devastating bans take effect, they also gave the people of Florida the power to settle this debate once and for all come Election Day.
So I'm sure that if our grassroots movement can keep up the momentum we've built, we've got what it takes to win both of these battles.
Because I'm not just running to retire an anti-choice authoritarian like Rick Scott — I'm running to bring the fight for our rights back to the national stage.
I'm running to build a statewide movement of pro-choice voters here on the frontlines in Florida, who will show up at the polls to take back the rights that Republicans in power have tried so hard to steal from us.
And no matter what happens, I vow to keep fighting until reproductive rights are enjoyed by every Floridian, and every American, once more.
That's why I'm overjoyed that our movement has earned Planned Parenthood Action Fund's support in my race to flip Florida's Senate seat blue. Nothing we've accomplished so far, and nothing we will, would be possible without grassroots supporters like you — thank you.
And friend, if we stick together, I know we'll win.
Thanks for reading,
Debbie
