Hello, I'm Jahmese, the Political Director for Schools & Communities First. For countless elections, my favorite part has been going door-to-door talking to voters, but as we keep fighting the coronavirus pandemic, I'm reaching out with an URGENT ask for you to take action.

[TAKE ACTION] Sign on to urge Governor Newsom and Secretary of State Padilla to institute an equitable universal Vote By Mail option for November's election >>

This week, voters in Wisconsin put their lives at risk to cast their ballot in their primary election during this COVID-19 public health crisis because Wisconsin had not implemented a universal vote by mail option for voters, even during this pandemic.

With a historic election coming up, I've been worried about how we will all be able to vote without risking our community's health. The entire electoral fiasco in Wisconsin should be a lesson to us here in California that if we do not take steps NOW to institute an equitable universal vote by mail option for November's election, we could be risking the health of millions of Californians and our democracy.

SIGN ON to urge Governor Newsom and Secretary of State Padilla institute equitable universal vote by mail in California >>

We know Donald Trump is pressuring states to stop voting by mail, even if it means putting millions of voters at risk of contracting COVID-19 and disenfranchising voters of color.

As an organizer, I know this would be devastating to our communities and would silence the voices of the most marginalized in California.

Governor Newsom and Secretary of State Padilla need to hear from YOU! Tell them you want universal vote by mail in California to make our elections safe, secure, and simple for everyone.

Will you join our campaign in urging California to institute an equitable and universal vote by mail option for November's election? [SIGN OUR PETITION]

Thank you for taking action to help California #SlowTheSpread and #ProtectOurDemocracy!
