Today is the LAST DAY to submit a public comment opposing Line 3.

John,

While the coronavirus pandemic sweeps the country and we face the loss of our stability, income, and loved ones, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is recklessly charging ahead with the permitting process for the Line 3 tar sands oil pipeline.

Today is the LAST DAY to submit a public comment opposing Line 3. Tell the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to deny the permits!

Line 3 would endanger more than 200 waterways in northern Minnesota, cause irreparable damage to fragile wetland and wild rice ecosystems from construction, and have the climate impact of 50 new coal plants. That's why young climate justice leaders from around the country came together to demand that Minnesota #StopLine3.

"People across the country and organizations across the country are saying this will affect them, and we want better." - Lena Rodriguez, 18 years old, Spark of Life Collective, Las Vegas, NV.

Enbridge Energy, the company behind Line 3, had a 37% stake in the Dakota Access Pipeline. Enbridge is responsible for the two largest inland oil spills in US history. The company's pipelines have had a major leak once every 20 days for the last 18 years. And now, Enbridge is trying to get permits to start construction in the midst of a global pandemic.

Our decision makers need to hear from you. Let them know our communities deserve better.

With gratitude and determination,

Akilah Sanders-Reed
