The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in partnership with the Ad Council and Jed Foundation, is pleased to announce new digital content for our national Seize the Awkward campaign. In a seven-part “Capture the Convo” video series –– starring and directed by actress, activist, creator, and former “Dance Moms” star Nia Sioux –– young adults will learn tips to start their own conversations and spot the signs that a friend may be struggling.

The series features conversations between Sioux and the following influencers and musicians, who have a collective following of more than 58.8 million across social platforms:

  • Kenzie Ziegler, singer, songwriter and actress
  • GAYLE, Grammy-nominated artist and songwriter
  • Brooklinn Khoury, skateboarder and content creator
  • Paul Russell, platinum recording artist
  • Zach Hood, musical artist and content creator

Several “Capture the Convo” videos have recently been released, with additional videos premiering throughout May for Mental Health Awareness Month. Watch them on Instagram. To learn more, you can also read AFSP’s news release.
