Did you know Black women candidates raise only half of what their male counterparts do? Despite their qualifications and dedication to public service, Black women face substantial barriers when it comes to financing competitive campaigns. 

Not only does the fundraising gap undermine Black women’s ability to compete effectively, but it also deprives our democracy of diverse voices in positions of power — voices like Cori’s, who is one of the most progressive and outspoken Members of Congress on the issues we care about most, like passing Medicare for All, securing a Green New Deal, transforming public safety, guaranteeing equal rights and reproductive freedom, and advancing our pro-peace, pro-humanity vision.
