TODAY’S MOMENT OF ESCAPE: THE SIX-DECADE RESTORATION OF A HISTORIC BOWLING ALLEY
From Preservation Leadership Forum. Though you can’t visit Lyndhurst in person right now, you can learn more about
its unique 1894 Recreation Pavilion, which houses the two oldest
regulation-sized bowling lines in the world. Juxtaposed with the 1838 Gothic
Revival mansion, the Bowling Alley was considered modern architecture in its
time.
