Jack xxxxxx,

In the past few weeks, we’ve had to change the way our campaign runs to keep up with the recommendations from public health experts and the needs of the TX-24 community. Today, I wanted to highlight for you all exactly what we’ve done.

Wellness Checks: We contacted all of our known supporters in the district just to check in and make sure they’re healthy and stocked up on food and supplies.

Virtual Town Halls: We’re hosting weekly Virtual Town Halls featuring a panel of experts, including local leaders and medical professionals, to discuss how COVID-19 is impacting all aspects of our lives. From elections to economics, we’re keeping TX-24 constituents up to date on the state of the pandemic in Texas and the campaign’s efforts to continue voter outreach digitally. White House Guidance Translation: The White House created a webpage that provides up-to-date information about the coronavirus outbreak across the country. However, many of these resources have not been translated into the first languages of many of our neighbors. 21.9% and 32.2% of households in the nation and TX-24 respectively speak a language other than English in their home. In order to ensure all Americans are able to follow the protocols regarding COVID-19, our campaign took action. We utilized our vast network of volunteers to get these guidelines translated to languages spoken by families in TX-24. We translated the guidance into Spanish, Vietnamese, Urdu, Arabic, Portuguese, and Hindi so all the diverse people of TX-24 have access to life-saving information.

Resource bank: In order to keep TX-24 families as informed as possible on the constantly changing situation surrounding COVID-19, we have created a resource bank on our website to provide folks with tools to help them find testing centers, file for unemployment, access federal small business loans, and more. You can check it out here: [link removed]

Thank you to our medical workers: Team Olson also contacted all of our supporters who work in the medical profession to send them personal thank you notes for their work in keeping Americans safe. They are the true heroes in this crisis. Remember: they stay at work for us, so let’s stay home for them.

Mail-in ballots: Despite all of the mounting uncertainty, our democracy must hold steady. No one should be forced to choose between their health and exercising their right to vote. So we’re working hard to ensure each and every Texan can have their voice heard in the coming elections through the mail. If you would like to help us contact eligible voters about voting by mail, please sign up here: [link removed]

COVID-19 Advisory Committee: Over the past few weeks, we’ve been forming an advisory committee consisting of business leaders, medical professionals, and community activists. This committee will meet virtually once a week to discuss how the campaign and our community can better serve the people of TX-24 during this crisis. Want to join the advisory committee? Please sign up here: [link removed]

We won’t stop working for the people of TX-24, because we know Kim is the leader we need in times of crisis. She’s made tough decisions under pressure before, and she’ll be able to step up and lead in Congress on day one. Thank you for your continued support.

Let’s keep fighting!
