Friend, New Yorkers are fighters.

 

And in times of crisis, we fight together.


I’ve seen it before, and I’m proud to be seeing it again as we work through
the Coronavirus crisis.


So many of our small businesses and restaurants are struggling right now. As a
small businesswoman, I have seen these struggles firsthand. While our local
businesses face tough realities balancing the books these past few months, they
are STILL finding ways to give back to our community. It’s inspiring. And I
wanted to highlight just a couple of the MANY inspiring stories throughout the
22nd district.

* Pizza Plus in Camden has started a program to help sponsor families and
give meals to kids.
* Shorty's Deli, also in Camden, is offering a 10% discount for first
responders and veterans.
The small business initiative we launched last week is helping provide support
to these inspiring places and workers by encouraging everyone to order take
out, or buy a gift card for a nurse or doctor, local police, or an EMT, or your
local grocer.
