As tonight begins the celebration of Passover 5780, New Yorkers and all Americans are fighting a modern-day plague in the Coronavirus. This virus has tested the faith and resolve of our society like no other challenge that I can remember.
As Jews worldwide commemorate and celebrate their deliverance from bondage in Egypt centuries ago, let us be reminded of the steadfastness and faith of the Jewish people over the centuries and, as Passover Hagadah instructs, to look to a brighter future.
