Dear John,
On behalf of all of us at HIAS, I wish you a meaningful Passover.
Even as we observe Passover during this particularly challenging time, I hope that we all find moments of joy and celebration, moments to give thanks for the warmth and safety of our homes and the bounty of our tables.
While our Passover celebrations may look different this year, one thing will not change: our commitment to standing with refugees and asylum seekers across the globe. When we raise our voices in support of those still searching for refuge, we bring new meaning to the age-old obligation to see ourselves as though we, too, went out from Egypt.
May our ritual and song strengthen our commitment to the Jewish movement for refugees and asylum seekers. Thank you for being our partners in this sacred work.
Chag sameach – a happy holiday to all celebrating,
