John, today is an important day for workers around the world.

May First, or May Day, commemorates the historic struggles and achievements of labor movements worldwide. It’s an opportunity to recognize and honor the hard-fought battles and victories of workers and organized labor.

I have always been a fierce advocate for standing with unions and their successful advocacy for fair pay, sound retirement benefits, affordable health care options, and safe conditions for all workers.

My team and I put together a survey on workers’ rights, an issue that is central to my campaign. Today, I wanted to bump that survey for you and make sure that you had another opportunity to share your opinions with us.

Thank you,

Frank

Subject: Re: Unions built the middle class

Dear John,

My home was always a proud union home. My grandfather worked for 54 years at Inland Steel and I am proud to carry on his legacy and fight for good-paying, union jobs across Northwest Indiana.

It’s simple, John. Unions built the middle class and it’s vital that we protect them. That’s why one of my first votes as a member of congress was to support the American Rescue Plan, bringing jobs to Indiana and delivering for working families.

However, extremist Republicans would rather spend time playing partisan politics instead of standing up for what’s good for our country.

So, let’s stand up and show our strength for organized labor:

Tell me, John, are you pro-union?
