Team — I know you’ve been hearing a lot more from my team recently, and I don’t take for granted that you’re even reading this message right now. I’m thankful to have an incredible, smart, hard-working team backing me up. And I’m thankful for you reading this message too.

But tonight, I wanted to reach out directly. I wouldn’t be sending a personal note if it weren’t important.

Republicans know this race will likely determine the House majority, and we know it too. If we lose in NY-18, we won’t win back the House majority. It’s literally that simple.

It’s so simple that naming my GOP opponent to their super PACs list of top targets, spending five figures on digital ads in our district, and placing outrageous hits against me in the media — all of which happened this month alone — are no-brainers for the MAGA establishment. They’ll run through their whole playbook and then draft the next one. They’ll double down on anything that sticks. They’re desperate to win.

And it’s only April.

The nasty attacks are only going to get nastier. The gob-smacking spending is only going to increase. These are the facts, and we’ve known them for some time now. How we respond is what matters, and that’s why I’m reaching out tonight.
